Qufaro
The Qufaro Vision
To grow cyber capability to meet the needs of society through Education, Innovation and Investment.
Background
Founded in 2015 with the aim of growing the UK’s cyber security talent pool, Qufaro provides the development and support required to equip individuals and organisations with the necessary tools and knowledge to combat the increasing threats posed by cyber-attacks to organisations.
Effective cybersecurity protects systems, including hardware, software and data, from being compromised or exploited reducing both the risk and frequency of cyber-attacks.
Cybersecurity has become a critical issue for today’s boards and senior management. Organisations without a robust cybersecurity strategy leave their businesses open to the risk of attacks that can seriously impact both operations and finances.
New regulatory and reporting requirements also mean that monetary fines are now a reality. Organisations failing to properly educate and equip employees to address today’s cybersecurity threats face reputational damage, loss of customer confidence and loss of revenue. It is essential for organisations to ensure that they have the right people to address the increasingly sophisticated threats now being posed, from malware and ransomware to phishing and social engineering.
According to a recent report by Cybersecurity Ventures, there will be as many as 3.5 million unfilled positions in the industry by 2021. Europe alone faces a projected cybersecurity skills gap of 350,000 workers by 2022, according to a survey by information security certification body (ISC)².
Qufaro aims to address this growing cybersecurity skills gap by providing the education, innovation and investment required to meet organisations’ needs.
