The legal background of the GDPR, intersection with the PECR, with freedom of information legislation, the Law Enforcement Directive and member state implementation approaches.
The requirements for the appointment of a DPO, the demands placed on the DPO, and on the controller or processor.
You will understand and be able to carry out the responsibility to inform and advise controllers or processors of their GDPR obligations.

Are there any prerequisites for this course?
Before joining this course, you must know about the EU GDPR and have passed the Certified EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Foundation examination.

Please make sure you revise the topics covered in the course before attending the C-DPO Masterclass, as topics will not be revisited but may be included in the exam.

C-DPO Foundation exam
Attendees take the ISO 17024-certificated online C-DPO exam set by IBITGQ
(International Board for IT Governance Qualifications). There is no extra charge for this exam.

What qualifications will I receive?
The course supports professional development, and delegates who pass the included exam are awarded the ISO 17024-certificated C-DPO Provisional qualification by IBITGQ.

To get the C-DPO Professional level qualification by IBITGQ, you must prove 24 months of DPO work experience and 100 CPD learning hours.

Accreditation
This course is accredited by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications (IBITGQ).

You can demonstrate your professional and practical knowledge and expertise by registering your qualification on the IBITGQ/GASQ successful candidate register.

How will I receive my exam results and certificates?
Provisional exam results will be given immediately after completing the exam, confirmed results will be issued within ten working days with your certificate to your email address.

Can exams be retaken?
Yes, if you are unsuccessful on the first attempt you can retake the exam for an additional fee. You can email us to schedule the retest for the exam.

Do I need to bring proof of identity?
Participants must have a form of photographic ID as the invigilator my request to check it prior to the exam.
