About the course

AWS re/Start is a FREE, full-time skills development program to jump-start your career working in cloud computing. A technology background is not required to apply and the program is focused on unemployed and underemployed individuals.
 
AWS re/Start and TechTalent Academy have teamed up to offer this tuition free for candidates based in Birmingham and wider area, Newcastle or Leeds and Belfast.
 
Through real-world, scenario-based learning, labs, and coursework, learners gain the skills they need for an entry-level cloud role. In the program, you’ll also focus on professional skills such as adaptive communication, time management, resume building, and interviewing to prepare for employer meeting and interviews.
 
You will acquire cloud computing skills and prepare for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification with complimentary access to practice and full exams. After you graduate, TechTalent Academy will connect you with employers and help you transition into your new working life.

Eligibility Requirements:
 
Currently living in Birmingham, (including areas of: Solihull, Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, or Coventry, Bedworth/Nuneaton) 
Currently living in Newcastle or Leeds or Belfast/ Northern Ireland 
Not working regularly more than 16 hours per week, and not in education or training
Can demonstrate your interest in a career in technology
Have the legal right to work & live in the UK
Available full time for 12 weeks, and ready to start a full time job straight after the course
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s A*-C or equivalent
Have not already completed a TTA funded academy
