The Qufaro Cyber Security Foundation Course has been developed by a consortium of education and Cyber Security partners to help provide a foundational base for those soon to be setting off to University to study a degree in Cyber or Computing. The course is delivered using distance learning tools with its content developed by the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec) Skills and Knowledge Framework.
 
Based at the iconic Bletchley Park, Qufaro embraces the rich national heritage in codebreaking and cryptography which are the catalyst for delivering the next generation's cyber defenders. From videos and quizzes to interactive learning materials and investigation tasks, it has been developed to help broaden Cyber Security knowledge and skills.
 
The modules range from Cryptography, Info-Sec Management and Risk Management to Digital Forensics, Business Resilience and Secure Testing.  Modules have been updated to keep up with the ever expanding cyber industry and also include Big Data, Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence. 

The course requires students to work through the modules, making notes and writing journal entries for each module and a  short reflective piece of writing. Students will receive a Certificate of Completion highlighting all the areas  studied throughout the Foundation Course. Highlighting passion and commitment to advancing cyber skills and knowledge it is warmly welcomed by Universities offering cyber and computing.
 
The ultimate goal of developing cyber security skills and knowledge is to nurture highly qualified cyber security and digital forensics graduates who are optimised to work in government, business, finance, insurance, industrial, media, legal and intelligence services, as well as many other employment sectors. With cyber-attacks becoming more common and posing greater threats, no company or individual is immune. There will be a global cybersecurity workforce shortage of around 1.8 million people by 2022 and 60% of organisations have unfilled cyber roles.


The Qufaro Cyber Security Foundation course helps students gain the required skills and knowledge to begin fully prepared to study for a degree in Cyber or Computing.
