Encapsulating all of the key modular content from our Cyber Security Technology programme, our advanced practice alternative offers you a valuable opportunity to complete a 15 week work placement and work on a real organisational issue or project to gain further employability skills.
The modular content is designed with both practical and theoretical skills aligned, combining Digital Leadership, Information Governance, Cyber Security, Cloud and Big Data Security, and Computer Network Security to develop your understanding of core specialisms essential for a cyber security expert. 
 
The programme has been designed closely with the input of industry partners, allowing you to gain sought-after business skills required by employers.

What will I study?
The modular content includes:
- Computer Networks and Security
- Computer Security
- Academic Language Skills for Computer and Information Sciences, and 
- Research Methods for professional practice
 
You will also explore Computing and Digital Technologies alongside your 15-week placement, in which you will complete an Engineering and Environment module. 
 
This experience gives you the opportunity to apply skills and knowledge acquired during the taught part of your programme and to gain new skills and knowledge in an alternative learning environment, allowing you to deepen your understanding and enhance employability in your specialist field.   
 
How will I be assessed? 
Teaching on this programme is delivered through workshops, tutorials, workshops, directed study, discussion forums, practice and self-study. 
Your total study hours are expected to be 42 hours per week. This includes 10-12 hours of lectures and seminars as well as expected self-study of 30-32 hours.
 
The programme is 100% coursework based.
