CEH Practical Exam overview
After attaining the CEH course, you can sit the six-hour, rigorous CEH practical exam. This requires you to demonstrate the application of ethical hacking techniques such as threat vector identification, network scanning, OS detection, vulnerability analysis, system hacking and web app hacking to solve a security audit challenge.
You will be presented with mimics of real corporate scenarios using live virtual machines, networks and applications designed to test your skills and demonstrate the application of the knowledge acquired in the CEH course to find solutions to real-life challenges in a limited amount of time.

Exams and qualifications
Certified Ethical Hacker exam
Attendees take an exam at the end of the CEH training course. The exam consists of 125 multiple-choice questions that must be completed in four hours.
All attendees receive an exam voucher that will allow them to sit the CEH (312-50 (ECC EXAM), 312-50 (VUE)) exam. Please note that the cost of the exam voucher is included in the course purchase price.
The exam voucher is valid for one year from date of receipt. Candidates may take this exam either at the ECC Exam Centre or the Pearson VUE centre.

What qualifications will I receive?
Certified Ethical Hacker certification and CEH Practical.
How will I receive my exam results and certificates?
CEH Training course exam
A digital certificate will be available to download between seven and ten days from the date of certification in your ASPEN account. ASPEN is a one-step gateway to multiple portals, products and services provided by EC-Council for its registered members. It is an integrated environment and a user-friendly portal, where a user can navigate to various web pages through a single login.
You will receive your certificate along with your welcome letter within 4–8 weeks from the date of your exam. If you do not receive your certificate within the stipulated period, contact certsupport@eccouncil.org.
CEH Practical Exam
Once you pass the CEH Practical exam, you will be certified as CEH Practical. You will be able to view and download the digital certificate from your Aspen account within 7 days from the date of certification and you will receive the physical copy of the certificate within 4 weeks.

Can exams be retaken?
Yes, the four-hour CEH Training Course exam can be retaken. Retakes can only be purchased by contacting feedback@eccouncil.org.
The CEH Practical exam can be retaken. Please contact us for a retake exam voucher.
Prerequisites
Are there any prerequisites for this course?
Candidates are only eligible to attempt the EC-Council CEH exam once they have completed the CEH course.
