COURSE CERTIFICATION DETAILS
ISACA CISM Course Assessment

The CISM certification stands for Certified Information Systems Manager and is awarded by ISACA once you have studied the CISM training course, passed the official CISM exam at an authorised exam centre and submitted a certification application along with evidence of the required work experience. The CISM training course covers all 4 information security management areas that will be questioned during the official CISM exam.

ISACA CISM Course Requirements
Although there are no official prerequisites to study the official CISM training course, there are steps that must be completed in order to gain your CISM certification once you have passed the exam. When applying for your CISM certification from ISACA you will need to provide proof that you have a minimum of 5 years paid work experience in the associated field. It is not necessary to have this experience prior to taking the CISM exam as ISACA grants 5 years post-exam to provide this documentation along with the application for certification so it is possible to gain the required experience within this timeframe. Should you have this experience prior to taking your exam, you are able to submit the proof (along with the application) immediately after you have passed – provided that the experience was gained within the 10 years directly preceding this time.
