About
In the UK, Data Protection Law is covered by the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA). The Act stems from the EU Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC. However, the Directive is being replaced by the GDPR. The new Regulation came into force on 25th May 2016, but it won't take effect until 25th May 2018.
