Successful completion of this course and exam awards the ISO 17024-accredited ISO 27001:2022 Certified ISMS Transition (CIS TN) qualification and 7 CPD points. Your existing ISO 27001 qualifications will also be upgraded to IBITGQ ISO 27001:2022 qualifications.

Training course outline

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the newest version of ISO 27001 and was published in October 2022. While not significantly different from the previous standard, ISO 27001:2022 does have notable changes that include scoping, planning, operation and performance evaluation. Annex A is also revised to align it with the information security controls in the ISO 27002:2022 standard, which was published in February 2022.

Organisations certified to ISO 27001:2013 have a three-year transition period to make the necessary changes to their ISMS (information security management system).

ISO 27001 professionals must have the knowledge required to prepare and help their organisation achieve compliance with the new standard. It is also important that they update their ISO 27001 qualifications to continue their professional development and meet the needs of future employers.

This accredited instructor-led course is designed for individuals who hold existing IBITGQ ISO 27001 qualifications and wish to update their knowledge and credentials. It is also suitable for those with equivalent ISO 27001 qualifications from BSI, PECB, CQI/IRCA or APMG.

Successful completion of the course and exam awards the ISO 27001:2022 Certified ISMS Transition (CIS TN) qualification.

You will also receive IBITGQ (ISO 27001:2022) qualifications that are upgraded versions of one or more following:

CIS F (ISO 27001 Certified ISMS Foundation)

CIS LI (ISO 27001 Certified ISMS Lead Implementer)

CIS LA (ISO 27001 Certified ISMS Lead Auditor)

CIS IA (ISO 27001 Certified ISMS Internal Auditor)

For example, if you currently hold CIS F and CIS LI, you will receive CIS TN, CIS F (ISO 27001:2022) and CIS LI (ISO 27001:2022) qualifications.

Candidates take the ISO 27001:2022 Certified ISMS Transition (CIS TN) exam set by IBITGQ. There is no extra charge for this exam.

This course is accredited by IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications).

IBITGQ is accredited to the ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard ( Conformity assessment – General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons ) by IAS (International Accreditation Service). You can demonstrate your professional and practical knowledge and expertise by registering your qualification on the IBITGQ/ GASQ successful candidate register .

How will I receive my exam results and certificates?

Provisional exam results will be available immediately after completing the exam. Confirmed exam results will be issued within ten working days from the date of the exam.

Certificates for those who have achieved a passing grade will be issued within ten working days from the date of the exam.

Results notifications and certificates are emailed directly to candidates by the relevant exam board; please note that hard-copy exam certificates are not issued.

Do I need proof of identity to take the exam?

Candidates must have a form of photographic ID with them as the invigilator may request to check it before the exam.

Can exams be retaken?

Yes, if you are unsuccessful on the first attempt, you can retake the exam for an additional fee. You can email us to schedule the retest.
