What does the CEH Practical exam cover?
With limited time available; a mimic of the real corporate network scenario will be given. The exam is developed by a panel of experienced SMEs and includes 20 real-life scenarios with questions designed to validate essential skills required in the ethical hacking domains as outlined in the CEH program.
The scenarios will test your skills to demonstrate the application of the knowledge acquired in the CEH course to find solutions to real-life challenges.

Once the exam is purchased, you will receive an exam dashboard code with instructions to schedule the exam.
Note: The exam dashboard code is valid for 1 year from date of receipt.
How will I receive my exam results and certificates?
Once you pass the exam, you will be certified as CEH Practical. You will be able to view and download the digital certificate from your Aspen account within 7 days from the date of certification and you will receive the physical copy of the certificate within 4 weeks.

There are no predefined eligibility criteria for those interested in attempting the CEH Practical exam. We strongly recommend you have attend the current Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) course .

Is CEH harder than the CISSP?
CEH evaluates knowledge, whereas the CISSP evaluates experience. To become a CISSP, you need five years’ demonstrable experience in two of the eight domains. To become a CEH, you just need to pass the exam. This comprises 125 multiple-choice questions that you must complete in 4 hours. It’s not easy, but our five-day CEH Training Course covers everything that you will be tested on.
Can I take CEH without experience?
No. You need at least two years’ IT work experience.
Does CEH expire?
Yes, CEH certification expires after three years unless you participate in the ECE (EC-Council Continuing Education) programme. You can find out more about the ECE on the EC-Council website .
When will I get my certificate?
If you pass the exam, your digital certificate will be available to download 7–10 days after you pass the exam. You will receive a physical certificate between four and eight weeks of passing the exam.
How long does it take to study for the CEH exam?
The CEH Training Course takes five days, but this assumes you have at least two years’ practical experience.
