After attaining the CEH course and passing the CEH multiple-choice exam, you can sit the six-hour, rigorous CEH practical exam.

This requires you to demonstrate the application of ethical hacking techniques such as:

Network scanning;

OS detection;

Vulnerability analysis;

System hacking; and

Web app hacking to solve a security audit challenge.

Candidates are only eligible to attempt the EC-Council CEH exam once they have completed the CEH course.

Certified Ethical Hacker multiple-choice exam

The exam consists of 125 multiple-choice questions that must be completed in four hours.

All attendees receive an exam voucher that will allow them to sit the CEH (312-50 (ECC EXAM), 312-50 (VUE)) exam. Please note that the cost of the exam voucher is included in the course purchase price.

The exam voucher is valid for one year from the date of receipt. Delegates may take this exam either at the ECC Exam Centre or the Pearson Vue centre.

Your iLabs will be given to you during the course and will be available for six months after the course.

Certified Ethical Hacker practical exam

Once you have completed and passed the CEH multiple choice exam, you can then move onto the practical exam.

You will be presented with mimics of real corporate scenarios using live virtual machines, networks and applications designed to test your skills and demonstrate the application of the knowledge acquired in the CEH course to find solutions to real-life challenges in a limited amount of time.

How will I receive my exam results and certificates?

CEH multiple-choice exam

A digital certificate will be available to download between seven and ten days from the date of certification in your ASPEN account. ASPEN is a one-step gateway to multiple portals, products and services provided by EC-Council for its registered members. It is an integrated environment and a user-friendly portal, where a user can navigate to various web pages through a single login.

You will receive your certificate along with your welcome letter within 4–8 weeks from the date of your exam. If you do not receive your certificate within
