New virtual cyber school gives teenagers a chance to try out as cyber security agents from home

Young people are encouraged to join online classes to develop their problem-solving and cyber skills.
Thousands of young people are being offered the chance to join a virtual cybersecurity school as part of the country’s plans to develop the next generation go professional cyber defenders.
Whilst schools remain closed for most children, this new online initiative aims to inspire future talent to work in the cybersecurity sector and gives students a variety of extracurricular activities to do from the safety of their homes.
The virtual school teaches teens how to crack codes, fix security flaws, and dissect criminals’ digital trails while progressing through the game as a cyber agent. Aiming to help them develop the skills needed for future cybersecurity jobs.
The school also provides weekly webinars run by industry experts that teach fundamental security disciplines such as digital forensics, cryptography, and operating systems.
